Background
Founded in 1882, Brighton Grammar School (BGS) is an Anglican school for boys with approximately 1270 students, based in the suburb of Brighton in the south east of Melbourne, Australia. The community journal is direct mailed to current parents, old students and local community members. The School required communication for the parents and wider community to showcase the 2014-2016 strategy.
Solution
Using the strong blue and red from the school branding palette, the cover features a purely typographical approach that showcases the strong copywriting. The masculine typeface 'GT Pressura' from Grilli Type complements the strong black and white photography. An A2 poster, printed on uncoated stock was folded down to A5 to create a compact and memorable document that broke up the content into manageable sections for the audience.
Results
Brighton Grammar School is evolving into a contemporary, masculine and modern brand that complements the methods of teaching and personality the School has. This poster is another step in that process.
